The clearest place to start is the paint. The MINI Paul Smith Edition is offered in three exterior colours, and two of them are available exclusively on this edition.

Statement Grey reinterprets the 1959 Mini Austin Seven colour for the present day. It is a clear, bluish-tinted grey with a directional quality that reads differently depending on the light.

Inspired White is a contemporary update to the beloved beige of the Classic Mini. Lighter and crisper than the original, it carries the reference without looking dated.

Midnight Black Metallic, the third option, comes from the current MINI range and provides a more classic look for those who prefer it.

No other MINI Cooper model shares Statement Grey or Inspired White. That exclusivity is built into the edition's identity.

Nottingham Green: The Accent That Ties It Together

Across all three body colours, one accent colour appears in the same places: Nottingham Green. This shade was created as a tribute to Sir Paul Smith's hometown. It shows up on the side mirrors, the octagonal radiator grille surround, and the wheel hub caps, which carry Paul Smith lettering.

For the 3-Door and 5-Door hard-top models, Nottingham Green is also available as a roof colour, paired with the Signature Stripe on the driver's side rear. The second roof option replaces this with Jet Black tone-on-tone striping in varying widths, both matte and gloss. The MINI Cooper Convertible Paul Smith Edition comes with a black soft top.

All edition vehicles ride on 18-inch Night Spoke aluminium wheels with a Dark Steel Flash tinted clear coat. The MINI logos at the front and rear appear in a newly designed Black Blue finish. Paul Smith's signature is embossed on the black horizontal handle strip at the rear.

Interior: Colour, Texture, and Detail in Equal Measure

Open the door of a standard MINI Cooper and you will find a well-made interior. Open the door of the MINI Paul Smith Edition and it greets you with "Hello."

That is not a metaphor. When you open the driver or front passenger door, a light projection of Paul Smith's handwritten "Hello" appears on the ground beneath the door. It is a small detail, and it sets the tone for everything that follows inside.

The sports seats are upholstered in Vescin with knitted textile in the shoulder and headrest areas, finished in Nightshade Blue. The dashboard and door panels use black knitted surfaces with tone-on-tone stripe patterns inspired by Paul Smith fabrics. The steering wheel's textile band carries bright, multicoloured decorative stitching drawn from the designer's Signature Stripe.

The circular cockpit display offers three exclusive Paul Smith backgrounds when Personal Mode is selected. None of these appear on the standard MINI Cooper.

The Details That Cannot Be Optioned Elsewhere

Four features of the MINI Paul Smith Edition have no equivalent on any other model in the MINI Cooper lineup.

The "Hello" projection greets you when you open the door. Paul Smith's "Every day is a new beginning" motto appears as an inscription on the door sill. A hand-drawn Rabbit graphic, drawn by Paul Smith himself, appears on the floor mat. And Paul Smith's personal signature is physically embedded on the rear handle strip of every edition vehicle.

These are not details that arrived through a parts bin. Each one reflects a specific creative decision made during the collaboration.
